Creating a Nurturing and Trauma-Informed Learning Environment at OSBC
At Oregon Somali Bravaness Community (OSBC), we believe that learning flourishes in an environment where individuals feel both happy and supported. Many of the children, youth, and families we serve have experienced challenges ranging from displacement and cultural isolation to everyday systemic barriers. That’s why our programs and spaces are intentionally designed with a trauma-informed approach—ensuring that everyone can thrive both academically and emotionally.
